DEA 360 Comes to Maine

Michael Wardrop(WGME, October 23) During the most recent Take Back Day event, WGME highlighted the area's new anti-opioid initiative, DEA 360.

The 360 program aims to fight opioid misuse through a partnership with law enforcement and the local community.

DEA Resident Agent in Charge Michael Wardrop also spoke to WGME about the importance of Take Back Day. During this event, people in communities across the nation drop off their unused and expired prescription medication at designated locations.

"We want to participate in these events because we want to make our households safe," Wardrop said. "And, two, we want our environment to be safe." Watch the video here.
