Free Virtual Prevention Training

training graphicDEA 360 has partnered with Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), Somerset Public Health, and Healthy Sebasticook Valley Drug Free Coalition to host a FREE Virtual Adult Town Hall Summit open to all parents, educators, community members and anyone who wishes to learn more about how to become more involved in constructing a healthy, safer community. Dr. Wilson Compton, Deputy Director of National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), will serve as the keynote speaker. 

This two day event will review:

  • Substance Use, Mental Health & Co-Occurring Disorders among youth, especially during the pandemic.
  • Addressing pills to heroin epidemic from a prevention perspective, and much more!

Dates: April 13-14
Time: 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Eastern

Youth Dance Program

Maine Youth Dance Program starts February 22. Learn more at www.windhamrecreation.comBe The Influence Coalition & Windham Parks and Recreation have partnered with the DEA Educational Foundation to offer FREE Virtual Dance Classes for Grades 6-8!

The DEA Educational Foundation Youth Dance Program, a part of the DEA Educational Foundation, was established to empower kids by providing a free and positive afterschool alternative to drugs through the fun, healthy, and expressive art form of dance.

Classes will be in the style of the National Dance Institute, with high-energy dance that is accessible to all. No specific dance skills required!

When: Starting February 22 - Mondays and Wednesdays

Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm Eastern

Where: Virtual - from the comfort of your own home!

Fee: There is NO COST to participate in this virtual program, but you must pre-register.

Recovery Coach Classes

woman using laptop while drinking coffeeConnection is at the heart of recovery. The Portland Recovery Community Center misses hanging out with the community sipping coffee and chatting! That’s why they are introducing a virtual coffee hour on Zoom!

The Portland Recovery Community Center will be on from 9-10am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for time to catch up and connect. And it doesn't matter whether you want to join for the whole hour or just stop in for 10 minutes! All are welcome.
